Admission to the Frida Kahlo Museum is available from Tuesday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. There is an additional fee of $30 pesos to take photographs in the dark (without flash). There can be a wait of up to an hour in the middle of the day.
A painting by Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, which is thought to have been sold for $1.81 million in 1952, is now worth more than $2 million. Both Rufino Tamayo of Mexico and Fernando Botero of Colombia had work that topped the sales list.
In the house where Kahlo was born and died, there is a museum dedicated to her artwork and personal belongings. On Tuesday through Sunday, the museum is open from 10 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., and on Wednesday and Thursday, it is open from 11 a.m. to noon (free for children under 6).

Kahlo released her unconscious mind through the use of what seems to be an irrational juxtaposition of images in her bathwater. In this painting, Frida paints herself, precisely her legs and feet, lying in a bath of grey water. The painting was included in Kahlo's first solo exhibit at the Julien Levy Gallery in New York City in November 1938.
