Best workaround I've found its to add the Epic Launcher to Steam as a non-Steam game and run from there. You can also create a desktop shortcut via Steam so it's quicker to access. I just bought a PC and have been attempting to connect to Fornite using my Xbox One controller with a wired connection. If you connect the controller to your phone via bluetooth it will work as an input device. It will recognize the controller as an xbox controller but all the controls work. My controller works fine on every other game I launch. No matter what, it won’t work on fortnite.
