I agree with Ugved, more time in Krakow than in Prague. I spent 3 days in Prague and it was more than enough and 5 days in Krakow. I also like your 2nd itinerary makes more sense. Budapest-Prague-Krakow-Warsaw is far more direct, than Budapest-Krakow-Prague and Warsaw.

We will be there 8-10 days. Would like to see Prague and the countryside, and spend 3 days in one other location. We like seeing the sights (churches, bridges, memorials, but not necessarily museums), walking, hiking, shopping crafts markets, sampling the local cuisine.
